Captain Chris Revere began his career in 1996 as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. In 2001, he transferred to the Santa Ana Police Department and worked assignments in uniformed and directed patrol. He later promoted to Detective and was assigned to investigate robberies, carjackings, and assaults. In 2010, he advanced to the rank of sergeant and worked assignments as a field supervisor and internal affairs inspector. Chris promoted to Commander in 2012, working as a patrol watch commander before being assigned as the internal affairs commander and executive officer to the Chief of Police. He transferred to the Cypress Police Department in 2017 and assumed command of the Operations Division. Captain Revere currently serves as the Support Services Division Captain, overseeing Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations, Personnel & Training, Community Relations, Property & Evidence, and Records.
Captain Revere possesses his Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Supervisory, and Management P.O.S.T. certificates. He earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Chapman University and M.S. in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego. Chris is also a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute – Class 321, the L.A.P.D. Leadership Program, and the F.B.I. National Academy – Session 264.
