On Monday, Dec 13th, the City Council reorganized the council positions for the upcoming 2022 year. Paulo Morales was appointed as Mayor and Anne Mallari was appointed as Mayor Pro Tem. We are looking forward to a successful year under their leadership.

As American Honda Finance Corporation assessed locations to expand their service center operations, the City of Cypress was a tremendous partner in their analysis. Ultimately, Honda selected to expand in Cypress.

This past Saturday, Mayor Peat received the Gentleman of the Year award from Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva at the Annual 65th Assembly District Recognition Awards.
The Mayor was one of nine recipients who were honored for their services and who exemplified characteristics valued in the community.

Today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced that effective May 19, 2021, Orange County (OC) will move into the Yellow Tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. This means that most businesses in OC will be allowed to increase their operational capacity.

Last Friday, the City of Cypress partnered with Orange County Health Care Agency to distribute COVID-19 vaccines at the Los Alamitos Race Course.
